Fazlul Karim new ambassador to China
The government has appointed M Fazlul Karim as the new ambassador to China.

Karim is currently working as ambassador to Mexico.
A career diplomat, he belongs to the 1984 batch of BCS Foreign Affairs Cadre.
Before his Mexico mission, he served as Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
He also served in Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, Bangladesh embassy in Jakarta, Washington, Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and Bangladesh Consulate General in Hong Kong in various capacities.
He studied international relations at Dhaka University.
