Poet Nirmalendu Goon hospitalised
Poet Nirmalendu Goon has been hospitalised after he suffered a heart attack.

A doctor at Dhaka’s LabAid Hospital told bdnews24.com that he was rushed to the hospital at about 7:30pm on Sunday.
“He suffered a heart attack,” Dr Mohammad Imran of the cardiac intensive care unit said.
The poet is undergoing treatment under Prof Baren Chakraborty.
Dr Chakraborty could not be reached immediately as, his assistant said, he was attending to the poet at about 9.30pm.
Dr Imran was not in the poet’s medical team, but he knew about his condition.
He said an angiogram, that takes pictures of the blood flow in an artery, found that one of the heart arteries of the septuagenarian poet was blocked.
“Doctors are preparing to do a bypass surgery tomorrow,” he said, “Baren Chakraborty sir can exactly say what he will do.”
