‘Rony’, 37, from Munshiganj’s Sirajdikhan, was picked up from the airport’s transit area on Sunday night.
He landed at Dhaka from Kuala Lumpur during late night, said Umme Nahid Akhter, Assistant Director of Customs.
“His body was searched at the transit area because he looked suspicious. We found two gold bars, each weighing one kilogram, in his underwear.”
'Rony' will face legal action, she said.
