The book, by Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque titled ‘Ganatantrer Manashkanya’, roughly translates to ‘Daughter of Democracy’.

Prottoy Jashim edited the biography on the Awami League president.

“Sheikh Hasina is not just Bangladesh’s prime minister … she is a successful head of the state. Like her father, she, too, has played a role in world welfare,” said Haque at the launch ceremony on Sunday.

The event was organised by the Bangladesh Writers’ Foundation at the Public Library in Dhaka.
“She is the perfect heir to her father. The nation did not have dreams or visions after Bangabandhu’s murder. Sheikh Hasina has put a target before the nation and gave it vision.”
The prime minister is currently in New York to attend the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.
