It will also hold a two-day national convention of Mancha activists from across Bangladesh on Nov 14 and 15. To rally support for the convention, it will hold nationwide awareness drives until Nov 13.

Imran denounced the government saying, “Alteration of verdicts only buttresses the allegation that government has a clandestine understanding with the war criminals.
“But we will not allow this to happen. For the people, Mancha will do everything possible to foil all conspiracies.”
Sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini said, “Millions of families of martyrs are awaiting the trials of war criminals. The nation will have to be freed from the curse through their deaths.”
Simultaneous rallies
Two factions of the Mancha, one led by Imran Sarkar and another by Kamal Pasha, again held demonstrations at a same place over the same demands.
Since the rift in Mancha surfaced a few months back, two of its factions have been holding simultaneous demonstrations within 50 yards of each other in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh.
Like last Sunday, the Kamal Pasha-led faction again took position on the left side of the museum gate while the Imran-led faction was on the right.
They have been holding protests almost every Friday. High-quality sound systems are one of the common features in these orogrammes.
Many have expressed concern about the rift, saying the division over such issues are not expected.
Referring to Kamal Pasha faction, Imran said, “We announced the programmes a week ago. At that time there was no programme by anyone else.”
“There is a group which always announces programmes coinciding with ours. Their only intention is to suppress our voice.”
Kamal Pasha, however, refuted the allegations saying they were not following anyone’s programme schedules.
