Rangamati's Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abul Kalam Azad said that the attack happened around 3am.
No one was injured in the explosion, which left a gaping hole in the street and damaged four vehicles of the CHTRC.
It is yet to be known who were involved in the attack, said ASP Azad adding that the bombs were 'very powerful'.
Explosives experts of the army have been called in to look in to the matter, said the police official.
Larma's Special Assistant Barun Chakma said that the blast was a deliberate effort to create a panic in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
"Those who do not want the (Hill Tract) peace treaty to be implemented have done this," he said.
