Police arrest 6 JCD men
Police have arrested six members of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) from Dhaka University campus amid the countrywide strike called by the BNP-led 20-Party alliance.

The student activists of the BNP were arrested in two phases on Monday morning, said Shahbagh Police OC Sirajul Islam.
Three were nabbed from in front of the university’s Institute of Modern Language (IML) and the rest were picked up from in front of Ekushey Hall, he said.
A procession of 15 to 20 people led by Chhatra Dal's Central Secretary Akramul Hossain was headed towards TSC area around 6:30 am, witnesses say.
Police chased them near IML, dispersed the procession and arrested three from the spot.
The three others were arrested when Chhatra Dal tried to regroup and start a procession from Ekushey Hall around 8:30 am.
“They were arrested for attempting to create chaos,” said OC Shirajul.
