Child's body found at Chandrima Udyan

Police recovered the body of a girl from a lake at Dhaka's Chandrima Udyan on Thursday.

Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station's sub-inspector Shamsul Haque said that the body was recovered around 8am and sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

The hospital's register says the girl's name was 'Champa' and she was six-year old.

"We suspect that she drowned. Details can be known only after the autopsy report is available," said the police officer.
