Bombs, weapons seized from CU dorm

Police have seized sharp weapons and petrol bombs after raiding Chittagong University’s Shahid Abdur Rab Hall.

Assistant proctor of the CU Ohidur Rahman told bdnews24.com," Police have conducted the raid taking the help of university administration Tuesday afternoon."

"18 petrol bombs, locally made machetes, iron bars, more than 200 sticks and 2/3 sacks full of stones have been seized from 15 rooms of the Abdur Rab Hall."

Students said Police had conducted the raid in the Shibir-occupied rooms for more than an hour.

Ohidur has also confirmed that Police have begun raiding Alaol Hall after combing the Abdur Rab Hall since 4:30 pm.
On Sept 10, 14 people, including 11 CU teachers, were injured when Shibir activists lobbed bombs and pelted stones at a CU teachers’ bus near Chharharkul area at Hathazari.
Police have started raiding the spot and CU campus since the attack.
Police found 21 bombs behind the F Rahman hall at Chittagong University after raiding the adjacent jungle on Sunday noon.
Police also seized nine locally made machetes, sticks, iron bars, stone full of sacks, kerosene and empty glass bottles after combing six rooms on Monday night.
