Autorickshaw stolen, driver killed
Miscreants have killed an autorickshaw driver and made off with the vehicle in Sadar Upazila, Munshiganj.

The dead has been identified as Masud Bepari, 35, a resident of Dhalagaon village.
OC of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Yadous Hasan said, “Miscreants hacked Masud at Machati on Saturday night and took away his autorickshaw.”
He died on his way while being taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital by the local people.
Referring to locals, the OC said, “Around 8 pm on Saturday, four to five miscreants disguised as passengers hired his autorickshaw and went to Machati. At a secluded place, they forced Masud to get off the autorickshaw and tried to steal it. When Masud resisted, they stabbed him with sharp weapons. They threw him off the auto and ran away with it.”
The OC said Masud’s father had lodged a case at the Police station. Police have been trying to arrest the culprits and find the autorickshaw.
