Govt bringing back Bangladeshis detained in Thailand
The foreign ministry has started the process of repatriating Bangladeshis detained in Thailand.

So far, 163 have been brought back and 16 more would come back on Friday and 20 more on Sep 20.
The ministry said “concerted efforts” with the Bangladesh mission in Bangkok remained continued to bring all detained nationals back.
The foreign office did not say how those Bangladeshis had been detained in Thailand.
But there were reports in last May that some 350 Bangladeshis had been held in Thai prison allegedly for illegal entry.
