RAB Sub Inspector Ferdous Ara brought Rasheda Khanam Parvin, 48, and Belly Aktar, alias Rahima, 45, to the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Their lawyer Zulfikar Ali pleaded for their bail.

Metropolitan Magistrate Jainab Begum, however, sent both of them to three-day remand.

Runa Aktar, a resident of Dhaka’s Mohammadpur, gave birth to twin babies at DMCH on Aug 20.

Parvin stole one of the baby boys early in the morning, the following day, and fled from the hospital.

The hospital formed a three-member probe team to look into the incident. A kidnapping case was filed at the Shahbagh Police Station.

After eight days, RAB found the child at Rahima's home in Boardbazar, Gazipur.
