Airport officials said the flight, BG-1011, left for Jeddah at 7.15am with 407 pilgrims on board.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon and Religion Minister Matiur Rahman saw off the first batch of pilgrims at the Shahjalal International Airport.
"I have spoken with the pilgrims, they told me they were satisfied with this year's Hajj management," said Menon.
He said check-in arrangements had been made at Mecca, Medina and Jeddah this year to cope with the pressure of returning pilgrims.
As many as 98,757 people will perform Hajj this year and the return flights will start on Oct 8 and continue until Nov 8.
