US mission gets new Dy Chief
David Meale has joined the US embassy in Dhaka as its new Deputy Chief of Mission.

He was the Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, the embassy said in a media release.
Meale has been in the US foreign service for over 20 years now.
He has served as Deputy Director of the Office of Monetary Affairs in the Economic Bureau, apart fulfilling other overseas assignments.
He served in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Guinea, on the Israel Desk in Washington, and, as a student, at the National Defense University.
Meale has an MS from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, an MBA from Tulane University, and a BA from the University of Delaware.
Jon Danilowicz was the previous deputy chief of mission in Dhaka.
He left for his new assignment as the Consulate General of the US mission in Peshawar.
