Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) lost Wednesday’s friendly basketball match to Border Security Force (BSF) in New Delhi.

BSF organised the ‘Maitri Cup Basketball’ match to boost ties between the two countries and their border forces.

Indian border guards scored 106 points, while the BGB managed only 47 on the board.

BSF chief DK Pathak and BGB Director General Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed presented the trophies.

Wednesday’s event was part of Confidence Building Measures (CBM) between the two agencies.

The first inter-force tournament of Maitri Cup Basketball was organised by the BGB in Dhaka in September last year.

A 20-member BGB delegation is currently in Delhi for a five-day border coordination conference with its Indian counterpart.
