Feni Sessions Judge Dewan Shafi Ullah and senior Judicial Magistrate Md Khairul Amin gave two orders in this connection on Tuesday, police said.

Shafi Ullah rejected the bail plea of one of the accused, Jahidul Islam, while Khairul Amin declined the pleas of 29 others, both ordering that they be sent to jail, said Feni Court Police Inspector Mohammad Mamun.

Magistrate Amin also ordered them to be present in court on Sept 29 for a hearing.
Mamun said Jahidul Islam had been presented before Judge Shafi Ullah’s court as he had separately pleaded for bail.
Case Investigation Officer Abul Kalam Azad said BNP leader Mahatab Uddin Ahmmed Chowdhury Minar, named in the case as the prime accused, could not be brought to the court as he was undergoing treatment in a Dhaka hospital.
He would be brought back to Feni jail once he recovered, Azad said.
Police and RAB have so far arrested 31 people in connection with the murder. Of them, 16 have testified under Section 164 of the Bangladesh Penal Code.
Ekramul Haque, who was also the Phulgazi Awami League unit chief, was killed in a daylight attack on May 20 in Feni town.
His brother Rezaul Haque filed the case that very day, naming Minar as the prime suspect and accusing up to 35 unidentified others.
