Prosecutors say the trial can now proceed while the young victim’s father Prabir Mojumder says he is relieved to hear the court’s decision.

A copy of the order issued by Justices Naima Haider and Zafar Ahmed reached Chittagong’s Fourth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on Monday.

The very bench had issued the stay order on Jul 21 following a plea by one of the accused. The trial came to a halt after a copy of the order reached the court in Chittagong on Aug 4.
