One to die for Bagerhat murder
A Bagerhat court has sentenced a man to death for killing a hotel staff in 2007.

The court of Bagerhat District and Sessions Judge awarded the death sentence to Md Solaiman, 35, of Noakhali's Kamalganj Upazila.
Prosecutor Sheikh Mohammad Ali said that the judge delivered the verdict in the absence of the defendant.
According to the case details, Al Amin, 18, used to work at the 'Hotel Singapore' in Bagerhat.
The convict, Md Solaiman, along with seven to eight others checked into the hotel on Aug, 2007.
On Aug 7, Solaiman had beaten up Al Amin, before strangling him to death and then dumped the body at the hotel's toilet.
He had also robbed Tk 40,000 from the hotel's safe.
The hotel authorities filed a case against five people including Solaiman.
In 2008, the police pressed charges against Solaiman.
