Miliband exchanges Eid greetings with Muslims

Leader of the Opposition in British Parliament David Miliband has exchanged Eid greetings with Muslims.

Speaking at the function held at Hilton Hotel in London on Thursday, he pledged development and ‘changes’ in the country.

Around a thousand guests, including leaders of the UK Muslim community, politicians and businesspersons attended it.

The Labour Party leader said there were big challenges before the ‘British Muslim community and the people’ in the next nine months until the May 7 parliamentary election.

He said his party believed in ‘one nation’ spirit for all the British people.

Miliband disclosed Labour Party plan to nominate more candidates from the minority communities for the polls.
He said the number of Labour Party candidates from the Asian and African British would touch new records.
Miliband praised the role of British Muslim community in the development of the country.
He criticised the murders of ‘innocent’ Palestinians by Israeli forces in Gaza.
The Labour Party leader said they would introduce ‘business-friendly banking system globally’ if voted to power.
