Eid congregation timings

The main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr in Dhaka will be held at the National Eidgah ground at 8am.

However, the Islamic Foundation has said it would shift to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9am in case of inclement weather.

Besides this, there would be five Eid congregations at Baitul Mukarram like in previous years.

President Abdul Hamid and other dignitaries will join the congregation at the National Eidgah.

The prayer here will be led by Maulana Salauddin, Khatib of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The five gatherings at Baitul Mukarram will be held at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am.

The authorities have announced that arrangements have been made for women to join the Eid prayers at the National Eidgah and Baitul Mukarram.
The devotees have been asked not bring along mobile phones, cameras or handbags.
The country’s biggest Eid congregation will be held at the Sholakia gound in Kishoregunj. The 186th Eid prayers here would be delivered by Maulana Fariduddin Masud.
The Sholakia Eidgah Committee has said that all arrangements for hosting a huge gathering have already been completed. To draw the attention of the devotees, five rounds will be fired in the air from a shotgun 3 minutes before the prayers to draw the attention of the devotees. Another two rounds will be fired 3 minutes and 1 round 1 minute before the prayers.
In Chittagong, there will be 270 Eid congregations, with the main gathering being the one at the Jamiatul Falah Jame Masjid. The first gathering here will be at 8am, followed by another at 9am.
The arrangements for the main congregation in Chittagong are being made by the Chittagong City Corporation, and the prayer would be led by Maulana Mohammad Jalaluddin al-Kaderi, the mosque’s Khatib.
The congregation at the port city’s Laldighi Jame Masjid will be held at 9am. It will be led by the mosque’s Khatib Maulana Nurunnabi al-Kaderi.
In Rajshahi, the main congregation will be at the Central Eidgah ground at 8am. However, if the weather proves to be unfavourable, the gathering will be held at the Makhdum Darga Masjid.
Besides, there will be two big gatherings at Saheb Bazar main road at 8am, and at the Mohammadpur Tikapara ground at 8:30am.
The historic Sylhet Shahi Eidgah will host Sylhet City’s main congregation at 8am.
The other gatherings in Sylhet will be at the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal and the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran at 8am.
The main congregation in Khulna town will be held at the Circuit House ground at 8am and the second at the Town Jame Masjid at 9am. In case of bad weather, however, the congregation will be at the Town Jame Masjid at 8am, 9am and 10am.
