Railway Minister Mujibul Haque disclosed the plan during a visit to Feni Railway Station on Monday afternoon.
He said the government had launched several special Eid trains for the home-bound travelllers.
The minister said: “(Bangladesh Railway) issued advance tickets and checked their black marketing. All security measures have been taken to help the passengers reach their destinations safely.”
“Ansar, police, RAB and BGB members are maintaining security at every station,” he added.
Haque said though the train schedules had been dislocated passengers "did not suffer much".
Muslims in Bangladesh will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday.
The minister said the government had undertaken 46 projects for solution to different problems and development of railway.
