Boy loses fingers to cracker
A teenager in Jhalakathi has lost three fingers when a firecracker he was making for Eid celebrations exploded in his hand.

Thirteen-year old Md Nayeem, son of a scrap dealer from Shahartali’s Kifait Nagar, was making the firecrackers near his father’s business in Tamakpatti around noon on Sunday.
“It burst and blew off three of his fingers,” said Jhalakathi Sadar Police OC Shilmani Chakma.
The 10th grader was admitted to the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College in a critical condition.
The police are preparing a case to book the victim under the Explosives Act, said OC Shilmani.
