5 die as boat sinks in Mymensingh
Five have died and five more are missing after an overloaded boat sank in a lake at Mymensingh’s Fulbaria.

The boat sank in Fubaria’s ‘Borbilar Beel’ around noon on Thursday, said Fulbaria Police Station OC Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan.
The deceased have been identified as Sumitra Sangma, 12, 'Rina', 18, 'Sajeda', 25, Raoshon Ara, 24 and ‘Sahera’, 28.
“The boat had taken too many passengers on board before setting sail and drowned midway,” said OC Anwar.
About a 30 of the passengers swam to safety while 10 were initially missing, he said. Five bodies were later recovered.
