Primary teachers' recruitment test results out

Results of the written test to recruit assistant teachers for primary schools have been published.

Altogether 20,479 candidates have been selected for viva-voce, Primary and Mass Education Ministry PRO Rabidranath Roy said on Wednesday.

On Nov 8 last year, 7,55,668 aspirants sat for the test.
However, tests in 17 districts were held again after a ministry committee found proof of question paper leak.

The recruitment tests in these districts were held again on Apr 18 this year.
The Directorate of Primary Education issued a circular on July 2 last year for recruiting nearly 7,000 assistant teachers under the primary education development programme.
These teachers will be appointed in 61 districts barring the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
