The US Secretary of State John Kerry wished his Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmood Ali a happy Eid-ul-Fitr.

The foreign ministry said the top US diplomat in a letter mentioned the richness and diversity of Muslim communities that he believed can bring all together.
“The richness and diversity of Muslim communities reminds us of the bonds that tie and bring all of us together, strengthening the bridges of our shared humanity,” read the letter, according to a foreign ministry statement.
Foreign Minister Ali thanked Kerry and also conveyed his Eid greetings.
Muslims in Bangladesh as elsewhere in the world celebrate their largest religious festival at the end of a month-long fasting.
