The president in a message conveyed his deep sympathy to the families of those killed in the incident.

In a separate message to her Malaysian counterpart Najib Abdul Razak, Hasina also conveyed her ‘deepest sympathies’ to the members and relatives of the bereaved families who lost their beloved ones.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali also expressed his shock in a message to his Malaysian counterpart Anifah Haji Aman.

Washington strongly suspected the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, carrying 295 people, was downed by a sophisticated surface-to-air missile fired by Ukrainian separatists backed by Moscow.
There were no survivors from Thursday's crash, which left wreckage and bodies scattered across miles of rebel-held territory near Ukraine's border with Russia.
