Youth dies in Dhaka crash
A young man has died after being hit by a car in Dhaka’s Banani.

The accident took place in front of Ananya Shopping Centre in the DOHS area around 12:30am on Sunday, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital’s (DMCH) police outpost Inspector Mozammel Haque said.
The deceased has been identified as Md Shamim, 20, of Barguna’s Amtali Upazila.
He came to Dhaka a few days ago to visit his uncle Shafiqul Islam.
Shamim along with his two friends were on a motorcycle, Inspector Haque said, quoting Islam.
The car hit the two-wheeler in front of the shopping centre leaving Shamim, who was in the back, critically injured.
He was rushed to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead, the police official said.
