Man kills both wives with axe
A man in Ruposhi Gachuapara village in Mithapukur, Rangpur, has allegedly hacked to death both his two wives.

Those killed were identified as Momena Begum,40, and Maksuda Begum,35.
Mithapukur Police Station Rabiul Alam OC said Ilyas was detained sometime after midnight in connection with the dual murders.
“The dead bodies were brought to police station for autopsy. The eldest son of the family works in a RMG factory in Dhaka. After his arrival, a case will be filed.”
Member of ward number eight in Khoragach union Shah Alam told bdnews24.com, “ Khorshed attacked his second wife Maksuda because of a family feud. Hearing her scream, his first wife Momena came to her rescue and was attacked too. They were killed on the spot.”
“Ilyas earns his living by selling rice. Family spat has become a daily event in his poor family of eight,” neighbor Syedul Islam said,
On Thursday the two wives also had a quarrel with Ilyas, Syedul added.
