He made this appeal at a three-day conference of DCs on Wednesday in a session devoted to affairs of the land ministry.

The DCs had been told to hasten the digitisation of land system, put an end to harassment in settling land disputes and simplify the collection of land development tax, the minister told reporters after the session.

On the time needed to complete the digitisation work, the minister said the process was complicated and could not be done in a hurry.
Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hussain was present at the session as chief guest.
The conference is expected to discuss 307 proposals placed by divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners.
Sessions of 16 more ministries are expected to be held later in the day.
