He appealed for this work ethic at a three-day conference of DCs on Wednesday in a session dedicated to the communication and railway ministries.
The minister said the DCs had urged him to construct new roads and expand the narrow ones.
He said he would try to ease public suffering.
Quader said he had directed the DCs to stop the plying of unauthorised vehicles like Nasiman and Kariman on roads.
Railway Minister Mazibul Hoque said he had sought the DCs’ help evicting encroachers on land next to railway tracks.
