Abducted child rescued in Ctg

Police rescued one child in Chittagong, who was abducted a month back, and also detained a woman in this connection.

Bakalia Police Station OC Mohammad Mohsin told that 6-year-old Asgar was rescued from a house in AbdulLatif Haat area in Chittagong.

The detained woman has been identified as Jannatul Ferdous Jannat, 22.

She hails from Satkania and presently resides in LatifHaat area where she rented a house identifying herself as a garment worker.
Mohsin said, “Unknown miscreants had abducted Asgar, son of Mahish Fakir, a resident of Bastuhara Colony located near the new bridge, on June 12. Asgar’s father filed a abduction case on June 30 at the police station."
Based on a tip-off, police raided the house at Latif Haat and rescued the child and held the woman.
However no ransom was demanded of Asgar’s family. Police have been interrogating Jannat to ascertain the motive of the crime, Mohsin added.
