64 gold bars seized
Customs officials have foiled yet another attempt to smuggle gold through Dhaka airport.

Md Alo Uddin, 31, was arrested with 64 gold bars at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, where he arrived from Doha in a Qatar Airways flight at 5am Tuesday.
“He was behaving strangely, so officials checked his bag and discovered the gold,” Customs Detective Division Deputy-Director Mustafizur Rahman told bdnews24.com.
The bars weigh more than seven kgs and are worth more than Tk 37 million, he said.
