But still, no relative has showed up to claim her at Bogra's Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
The 30-year-old mother was run over by a truck on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway on Saturday. Her daughter's both legs were broken in the accident.
Police rescued the child and admitted her to the public hospital.
Gobindganj highway police OC Masud Parvez said their efforts to identify the woman had yielded no result.
Her body was taken by Anzuman Mufidul Islam for burial on Sunday.
Gobindganj police OC ABM Jahidul Islam said they were trying to identify the child.
"We'll hand her over to an orphanage if we fail to do that," he said.
