Rana Plaza victim ‘raped’
A victim of Rana Plaza collapse tragedy has been allegedly raped in Savar.

She was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Sunday morning for medical examination.
Police arrested the alleged rapist, Shahabuddin, 56, based on the victim’s allegation.
Shahabuddin called the girl over phone on June 5 and said that the Rana Plaza victims would be provided financial assistance, Savar Model Police Station OC Mostafa Kamal said.
Shahabuddin took her to his place and raped her after illegally confining her.
The girl worked at a garment factory on the sixth floor of Rana Plaza.
