    Ctg Jamaat chief, 20 others held

    Police have arrested Jamaat-e-Islami Chittagong unit chief ANM Shamsul Islam and 20 others from the party's local office.

    They were arrested from the city’s Dewanji Pukur Lane office on Monday afternoon, Kotowali Police Station OC AKM Mohiuddin Selim told bdnews24.com.

    “Shamsul Islam was holding secret meeting with party leaders at the Jamaat office,” he said.

    Islam is an accused in various cases of sabotage, the OC added.
