Woman disfigured after failed rape
Assailants disfigured a woman’s face after failing to rape her at Barguna Sadar.

The victim, a 35-year old homemaker, was alone when four men entered her house in Dhupoti village on Friday night, said Barguna Police OC Ajam Khan Faruki.
They tried to violate her but neighbours came to her rescue when they heard her scream, said the OC quoting local witnesses.
She identified three of the attackers and said they were her neighbours, he said.
Before running away, they used a sharp object, a tester, to stab her face multiple times, said Brother Md Mohsin of Barguna Sadar Hospital.
“Her attackers, who are now absconding, cannot be named before their arrest,” the OC told bdnews24.com.
Critically injured, the woman has been taken to Barisal from Barguna for treatment.
