Siddique is in charge of the factory, owned by his childhood friend and State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid Bipu.

He was abducted on Wednesday at Bhuigarh while travelling by car from Narayanganj to Dhaka.

The workers on Thursday demonstrated in front of the factory, and then marched to the Narayanganj Press Club, where they formed a human chain.
They submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner, warning of tough movements if Siddique were not found within 24 hours.

Rizwana suspects that people rattled by her activism were behind the crime.

She has filed a case in connection with the abduction.
Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Syed Nurul Islam has said a search is on rescue to Siddique.

He told reporters the police had spotted a blue Toyota HiAce stopping at the toll-booth at Jatrabari flyover at 2:53pm on Wednesday. Its plate number had been found to be fake.

AB Siddique's driver, who was with him at the time of his abduction, said the kidnappers had driven away towards Dhaka in a blue van.

He said several police and detective teams were exploring every lead to rescue the victim.

Police have formed a 12-member investigation committee to probe the crime.
