Fire at Savar shopping mall
A shoe storeroom at a shopping mall in Dhaka's Savar area caught fire on Thursday.

Fire service officials said the fire broke out around 9:45 am in a shop on the first floor of the mall, 'New Market'.
Station officer Anwar Hossain of Savar Fire Station said that they suspect electrical short-circuit caused the fire. It was soon brought under control.
Savar Model Police Station OC Mustafa Kamal said that the mall was closed when the fire broke out.
