BIRDEM doctors demand security
Doctors at BIRDEM General Hospital have demanded adequate security for them and also punishment for those responsible for the attack on them.

They placed the demand after forming a human chain on Thursday.
The doctors of the specialised hospital for diabetic patients went on a strike on Tuesday protesting against the assault of three doctors by relatives of a patient.
They went back to work after Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain, who the doctors held responsible for the assault, was removed from his duty.
Hossain was the patient’s brother.
Dr Anwarul Islam, who led the agitation, said they would wear black badge and hoist black flag on Saturday to press the authorities to ensure their security.
Doctors of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, Solimullah Medical College and Hospital and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital also joined Thursday’s demonstration.
