The horror of Thanapara mass killing has been remembered with special prayer and discussion.

The area under Charghat upazila of northern Rajshahi district witnessed mass killing of Bangladeshi freedom fighters on April 13 during the Liberation War.
The residents remembered the horror on Sunday with special prayer and discussion, according to foreign ministry.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, who is also a MP of the constituency, was present among others.
In his speech, he called upon the young generation to learn Bangladesh’s history and uphold the spirit of independence and build “Sonar Bangla" in accordance with the dreams of the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
