NY consulate celebrates Pahela Baishakh

Bangladesh Consulate General in New York has welcomed Pahela Boiskah, Bangla New Year, on Sunday evening with traditional fervour and gaiety.

Members of the Bangladeshi community in New York, different socio-cultural organisations and officials of the mission attended the celebration amid songs and dance.

Local Bangladeshis presented a colourful cultural show.

Traditional Bangladeshi cuisine was served to add flavour to the celebration, said a media release.
