Youth killed in Brahmanbaria clash
A youth was killed when two groups of villagers clashed to establish control over a playground at Sarail Upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Rasel Mia, 26, of Fatehpur village of the Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of the Sarail Police Station Ali Arshad said that the clash occurred in the early hours of Thursday over establishing control over a children’s playground.
Rasel, who was seriously injured in the clash, was admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital at first. As his condition deteriorated, he was then rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries in the morning.
OC Arshad said that tension was prevailing in the village following the death of Rasel. Police personnel were deployed in the area to avert any further untoward incident.
