Judge Md Abdul Majid of Dhaka’s District and Sessions Judge’s Court issued the order on Thursday.

Chief Public prosecutor Khandaker Abdul Mannan took part in the hearing while Kazi Nazibullah Hiru, ATM Golam Daud and Abu Bakar Farhad argued for the defence.

At least 112 factory workers died and more than 200 others sustained severe burns in the fire that ravaged Tazreen Fashions' factory on Nov 24, 2012.

Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector Khairul Islam filed the case accusing unidentified people a day after the fire.

The CID on Jan 2 last year took over the investigation of the case.

Police on Dec 22 last year submitted the chargesheet in the case pressing charges against 13 people including Delwar and his wife.

The couple surrendered to the court on Feb 9 this year and prayed for bail.

But Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Tajul Islam rejected their bail petitions and ordered them to jail.

The next day, Dhaka Chief Judicial Magistrate Ismail Hossain granted Mahmuda one month interim bail but rejected Delwar’s bail.

The prosecution later prayed for scrapping Mahmuda’s bail.
