They were charged in two cases over the killing of a policeman last year.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Marina Khanam scrapped the bail petition of the defendants on Monday.

The accused appeared in court when the one-month interim bail granted to them by the High Court expired.

Rajshashi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Constable Siddhartha Sarker was wounded in a bomb attack in the city on Dec 26 last year. He later succumbed to his injuries on the same day.

Police filed two cases over the incident naming 85 persons including Minu, Bulbul, BNP’s Rajshahi unit chief Nadim Mostofa, metropolitan unit General Secretary Shafiqul Haq Milon, Jamaat-e-Islami’s metropolitan unit Secretary General Emazuddin Mondol, Assistant Secretary ASM Mamun Shahin, Mainul Islam and Mahbub Hasan Bulbul.

The High Court had ordered them to surrender to the magistrate’s court and seek bail once their interim bail period end.
