Metropolitan Sessions Judge SM Mojibur Rahman also set Feb 18 to start testifying in the case.

The accused are Jahidur Rahman Shaon, Junaid Ahmed Riad, his father Shah Selim Tipu, Shahdat Hossain Saju and Mahbub Ali Danny.

Tipu, Riad and Saju are now on bail from the High Court while other accused are absconding.

Himu, a student of Summerfield School and College, died on May 23 at the capital's Square Hospital.

That was 26 days after his friends – Riad, Shahdat Hossain, Danny and Shaon – pushed him from the rooftop of Riad's house in Panchlaish Residential area in Chittagong on Apr 27.

Before pushing him off the roof, they had let loose five Doberman dogs to attack him.

Himu’s maternal uncle Asit Kanti Dey filed the case at the Panchlaish Police Station against the five persons.
Police pressed charges accusing the five persons on Oct 30, 2012.
Shahadat Hossain surrendered one month after filing of the case and Tipu and Riad surrendered in 2012.
All of them secured bail later.
