3 boys die in road crash

Three teenage boys have died as a bus rammed a locally assembled vehicle, Nasiman, they were travelling in at Bagharparha Upazila in Jessore.

The accident occurred around noon on the Jessore-Narail Road near Srirampur village, said GG Biswas, OC at Bagharparha Police Station.

The dead have been identified as Rubel, 15, son of Abdul Aziz of Srirampur, Gafur, 17, son of Sirajul Islam, and Habibur, 12, son of Monser Ali.

All three worked as fishermen, locals said.

OC Biswas said the boys were travelling in the Nasiman on their way to Charhabhita in the Upazila to catch fish.

They were hit by a Jessore-bound bus coming from the opposite direction, killing Rubel and Habibur on the spot, he said.
Gafur died while being treated at the Jessore Medical College and Hospital, said Biswas.
The driver of the bus fled after the accident but police seized the bus, said the OC.
