It will be reopened if the Inqilab authorities win in the case filed for running the report, he said.

He was speaking to reporters after emerging from his leading JaSaD's emergency meeting at the party office.

The Inqilab had run a report on Thursday, claiming that the Indian army had aided the Bangladesh's joint forces' drive in Satkhira.

Soon after the report was published, the daily’s printing house was shut following a raid on its office in the city's Ramkrishna Mission Road.

Three persons, including the paper’s news editor, have been arrested.

According to a government statement, the report was fabricated and baseless.

Police then filed a case with the Wari Police Station against the management of the daily, which was established by the war criminal, late Maulana Abdul Mannan.

The raid was launched at the Inqilab office based on the case filed for running the false and fabricated report, said Md Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner at Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The report was solely meant for damaging India-Bangladesh ties, Inu claimed and said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was sowing the seeds of a new conspiracy.

The BNP-led 18-party alliance had carried out acts of sabotage across the country in the name of political movements, he said.
