The BNP-led alliance is set to resume its non-stop transport blockade across Bangladesh from Sunday demanding cancellation of the Jan 5 polls in which the Awami League-led alliance won a landslide.

Witnesses said Mohammad Parvez, a schoolboy, was injured in the twin blasts at around 4:30pm.

He is a grade-VIII student at the Dhaka Collegiate School.

He has been admitted at the National Medical College and Hospital.

Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector Wahidur said police were not at the spot during the blasts.

The BNP-led 18-Party alliance has been agitating for long demanding polls under a non-party caretaker government. Academic activities at the JnU were disrupted like most other educational institutions due to the agitations.

However, recently the JnU authorities announced to continue academic activities despite the BNP-led alliance's agitations.
