Dhaka Div Commissioner shifted
Dhaka Divisional Commissioner AN Shamsuddin Azad Chowdhury has been transferred following an Election Commission order.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday made him the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The ministry appointed Zillar Rahman, who was holding that post in the health ministry, as Dhaka’s new Divisional Commissioner.
He will also function as the returning officer for 15 seats in the parliamentary election.
Khulna's Deputy Commissioner, Mesbah Uddin, has been moved to the Local Government Division as Deputy Secretary.
Deputy Director of Identification System for Enhancing Access to Services Project, Anis Mahmud, has taken over as Khulna’s new Deputy Commissioner.
An Election Commissioner said Chowdhury and Uddin had been shifted for failing to properly execute the EC's orders.
Till the next general election is held, all important ministries, departments and directorates would be under the Election Commission.
The EC has fixed Jan 5 as the poll date.
Monday was the last day for the candidates to file their nomination papers.
