PM addresses nation
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is addressing the nation in a bid to clarify the atmosphere of uncertainty prevailing in the country.

She began her speech by greeting the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Durga Puja and Prabarona Purnima.
Her speech was being broadcast through the state media, Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television.
The Prime Minister had in late September said that she would address the nation soon to clear all misunderstandings.
The opposition and the government are in dire disagreement over who would oversee the next general elections.
The government wants to hold elections under its supervision while the opposition insists for a non-partisan polls-time caretaker government.
The opposition is of the view that elections under a partisan government will not be free and fair.
The main opposition BNP has already announced that it will launch a tougher movement after Oct 24 demanding a non-party caretaker government.
